17 May Do you need a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist? Not one near you?
We are now offering telephone consultations. This is great news if you prefer a more cost effective option, or if you are juggling kids, work, life in general, or if you are not located at the Gold Coast. You can now still access our pelvic floor physiotherapist.
If you have been suffering in silence, telling yourself it’s normal, or been too embarrassed to seek out the help you need, or didn’t even know that there was help available, we are here to help you. And we are now offering to do it all over the phone.
To start with we will ask you to complete a 2 day bladder diary prior to your initial phone consultation. Once you have done this, we will schedule a time for you to have a 45-60 minute phone consultation with our expert physiotherapist where we will get a full history from you and discuss our analysis of your bladder diary, and our recommendations for how you can regain control of your bladder (and therefore your life!). We will email you a full report from your session with all the details of our recommendations and our plan to get back on track.
You will usually be followed up with a phone call 1-2 weeks after your initial consultation, and again one month after this, and again 4 months after this. We find this helps you to ask any questions you might have, and for you to let us know how you are progressing, and to adjust your program as required.
Our physiotherapy clinic works a little differently to most health care providers, whose goal is to get you returning, again, and again, and again.
Our goal is to empower you with knowledge, and then support you while you apply this knowledge. This will give YOU control of your own bladder.
